Each of us, have an attitude! Some have positive ones, and others, far - less, so! The reality is, it can be, a good friend, your greatest foe, or somewhere, in - between! After, over four decades, of involvement in the areas of personal development, and self - worth, etc, including giving hundreds of seminars, etc, during that period, I believe, attitudes, often, determine, our future, potential, and, whether, we maximize the possibility of being, the happiest, most - fulfilled, as, personally, positive, and, this consideration, and analysis, can often, be reduced and limited to, four types. With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, four possibilities, and the impacts. 1. True positive attitude: A true, positive attitude, requires, far - more, than, replying, Never better, when someone asks, how you are! It does not mean, wearing, rose - colored - glasses, but, rather, proceeding, with a firm - grip, on reality, and prioritizing, ways, to achieve, rather than, why one might fail! When any obstacle, presents itself, as, each of us, face, regularly, will you consider it, a challenge, to overcome, or, a debilitating/ self - limiting, problem? Often, it is, how we perceive things, which determines, largely, our results, etc! 2. Lip - service, positivity: True positivity demands more than, mere, lip - service, but, rather, a true feeling! Many people claim, they have a positive attitude, but, in reality, too often, it seems, they are trying, to fool - themselves, by their personal rhetoric! 3. Neutral: We often, notice, some, who, appear to have, no consistent, clear - cut, attitude, and/ or, behavior patterns! Without, this consistency, they often, fluctuate, in terms of their moods, and actions, which may limit their personal productivity, happiness, and well - being! 4. Negative attitude: Our tendency, towards, negativity, often, may be, our greatest enemy/ foe! You can think you can, or think, you can't. Either way, you'll be correct. These words, often credited to Henry Ford, express, how we perceive and conceive of things, determines our outcome, many times! Whatever the mind of man, perceives and conceives, he can achieve. When, we focus on our negativity, we spend, too much time, thinking about, all the reasons, we may fail, and all the possible things, which may go wrong! When that happens, it not only, adversely, affects, our thought - process, it limits our possibilities, and potential, by encouraging, procrastination, when proactive behavior, is the better course, of action!
